2025 Visual ARTIST - Tobias Lansdown

Presenting the Kiama Jazz & Blues Festival 2025 Visual Artist - Tobias Lansdown.

Bio: My name is Tobias Lansdown, I grew up on the south coast. I was lucky to have a mother that encouraged me to dive headfirst into art and design. She is an amazing artist herself and I inherited my love of color from her. I formed my style by journaling, when I was younger, I always had a journal to fill.

I lived in NZ for a while when I was 20, when I came home I decided to study graphic design at Enmore Design Centre. Since then, I've been putting along doing odd jobs while trying to snowboard as much as possible.

As for my art, I never went to art school or anything, but I love it none the less. I've been a part of a few shows but l mostly do it because art keeps me grounded and motivated. I love to experiment with it, for example today I went for a dive off the rock shelf at Austinmer. I picked up a few flat rocks to paint on. I'm not sure if it will be a good idea but it's been fun.

I am very happy to be a part of the Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival and feel very grateful that they have allowed me to show case some of my work for this year's festival :)
